Audio: Crunchtime TalentLink (“the LMS”) does not use system tones, however, various browsers do use them, and your content likely requires use of audio.
Input: Keyboard and mouse, touch screen monitor or touch screen tablet.
No Software Add-ons or Apps are required for Crunchtime TalentLink.
Recommended minimum: 256kbps download & 128kbps upload.
Shared Connections: Be aware that shared networks may drop speed during peak periods. Test speed at various times of day and make sure it is better than the recommended minimum.
Check your bandwidth speed at http://www.speedtest.net or similar testing site.
Change browser settings to “allow pop ups” on your campus website because courses play in, and record completions from, a pop up window.
You must enable cookies to preserve exam responses and scores in the case of an internet interruption.
Test the LMS on actual representative devices to check connectivity and functionality.
Technical Requirements only apply to the LMS and do not apply to content. Your content choices may require more bandwidth or specific browsers to achieve acceptable performance.
We know there can be internet disruptions at times and we designed a method of processing exam responses and scoring to minimize the impact. Exam responses are held and submitted all at once at the end of the exam rather than as each question is answered. This improves reliability of exam grading by minimizing the opportunity for internet disruptions to cause answer submissions to fail.
In addition, we created a cookie to safeguard exam responses when there is an interruption. In the event of an interruption, the cookie is activated when the connection is restored and the impacted learner logs out and logs back in again. This means that a simple log out/log in can restore exam results that might have been otherwise lost.
Based on our decade-plus experience deploying e-learning solutions in restaurant store environments, we have found Windows desktops and laptops to be the most reliable and durable e-learning platforms.
Due to the aggressive rate of browser updates/releases, Crunchtime TalentLink cannot be held responsible for changes that affect the performance of the LMS or content due to disabled or changed browser functionality. Crunchtime TalentLink will respond to browser changes as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee immediate support.
What is shown here as Recommended is what we fully support, which means our QA team tests against it and we will make every effort to fix any problems that occur. What is shown as Tested has been tested and does perform without any major issues.

We do not recommend taking e-learning courses on smart phones. While the courses are expected to run successfully, the learning experience is degraded by the reduced screen size.
Crunchtime TalentLink administrative functions may be very difficult to perform on a smart phone because of the reduced screen size.
Adobe will end support for Flash by the end of 2020 and Flash is already not being automatically included in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, or Edge browser updates. Each browser maker has its own plan for handling the phase out before the 2020 end date but most already include the requirement to give permission each time Flash is used. This extra permission step can interfere with work flow and it may cause some course to not run. We encourage you to discontinue the use of Flash when creating courses and to begin re-building courses you already have that were made in Flash. (See additional information on Flash in the Crunchtime TalentLink Mobile App section following.)
Unfortunately, it’s not possible for us to fully support every operating system and browser – we, as most software companies, do try to go back the last OS version (sometimes 2 on tablets). For Windows, that’s 10 and 8.1.
We know that a few of our clients use Windows 7 and do not have any problems. The challenge, however, is that as browsers and Internet security needs change, old operating systems will at a certain point show signs of incompatibility. If you use Windows 7 and start to see signs of functional issues with either course playback or LMS features, you should first try a different browser on your Windows 7 machines as that, in many cases, will provide a workaround. If multiple browsers have the same issue, that may mean it’s time to upgrade to a new OS. Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7 as of January 14, 2020.
Crunchtime TalentLink is available for training as a mobile app. In addition to training, the app provides access to resources and messages. Geofencing keeps your data within the confines of the location. Campus home, dashboard, manage content, and reports are not available in the app at this time.

Flash is not supported by either iOS or Android. If you have any flash based courses, they will not work within the either the iOS or Android version of the app. You will need to republish or rebuild these courses in a non-flash format.
