Learning programs are groups of courses and other content items that are related by subject matter, role, or skill position. Learning program fundamentals:
Active and In Review: Learning programs can be set to Active or In Review. When in review, leaners cannot access the learning program and it is shown in red on your manage content screen. In review is the default when learning programs are created.
Pre-requisite learning programs: A learning program can have one or more pre-requisite learning programs that must be completed before it can be started. When a learning program is a prerequisite, it is also automatically made an associated learning program and automatically assigned.
Associated learning programs: A learning program can have one or more associated learning programs which are automatically assigned when this learning program is assigned. Prerequisite learning programs automatically become associated learning programs.
Due dates: When a learning program is created, you can set the number of days that should elapse between assignment and completion. Yellow (due soon) and red (late) warning icons display to alert learners and their managers that an assignment is due soon or late.
Repeats: Learning programs can be scheduled to repeat at set intervals for all employees or for specific roles.
Order: The order for the content items in a learning program is the order in which they are added when the learning program is created. Use the Sequence field to create a more specific order.
Sequence and Enforce Sequence: The sequence in which items are taken can be enforced by checking the Enforce Sequence box. Multiple items in a learning program can be assigned the same sequence designation which allows the user to select the order in which they are taken within that sequence group.
Categories: The content items in a learning program can be grouped into categories to show interrelationships.
Certificates: Certificates can (optionally) be awarded for the completion of learning programs.
Role: Learning programs can be designated for use by all, employees, managers, or corporate admins.
Auto-Assignment: Learning programs can be set to be automatically assigned to learners based on skill position. Once a learning program is set to auto-assign to a skill position, the skill position will appear in trophy cases as a career path.
Icons: Icons with associated colors can be (optionally) associated with learning programs.
Conditions: The conditions under which specific content items within a learning program do/do not apply.
Bookshelves: The locations at which a learning program should be available for assignment.
